About Me

I love to solve problems, mostly in Rust these days. I spend most of my time sitting in front of a computer, but when I'm not, I gravitate towards the mountains, usually with a really heavy bag and a pair of worn out boots.

Interests

  • Distributed / Concurrent Systems
  • Formal Methods
  • System Performance & Security
  • DevOps
  • Rust & Wasm

Education

I received my undergraduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Alberta in 2022.

During that time, I:

  • Helped teach CMPUT 333 (Network Security)
  • Led a research project to overcome MAC randomization using timing attacks
  • Played for the Golden Bears Volleyball team for 5 years
  • Fought wildfires for two summers

I am starting my Master's in Computer Science at the University of Alberta in Fall 2026, focusing on deterministic simulation testing and software virtualization for distributed and concurrent systems.

Work

After recently finishing up the IoT platform at CarbinX Technologies, I'm building Annona until my master's program starts. It's a food logistics platform that aims to save people money and time for anything food related. Currently in private beta.

Current Tinkerings

Some things I'm currently working on:

  • A fast and simple Ansible-like tool with a WASM component based task system
  • A simple storage engine from scratch
  • A deterministic simulation framework for Rust
  • A dev focused TTS eReader
